The touchpad is the control area of your Vermont home security system. It has many different options to help you protect your home.

Arming Your Security System

There are four different options for arming your ADT VT home security system. They are Arm Away, Arm Stay, Arm Night Stay, and Arm Instant. When armed, the indicator light will be on and a message will be displayed.

Arm Away is for the time when nobody--not even pets--will be home. Arm Stay is to be used when you--or your pets--will be inside the house. Before you use Arm Stay, make sure all doors and windows are securely shut. Arm Night Stay is similar to Arm Stay, but provides the extra security you will need at night. Arm Instant is to be used when remaining inside if no one will be using an entry door.

Disarming Your System

Disarming your VT alarm system is quick and easy with this ADT Vermont Company. When it is armed, simply enter the security code and press the off button. The ready indicator light will come on and you'll see a message displayed on the screen.

Chime

You can be alerted whenever a perimeter door or window is opened even if your security system is disarmed by using the chime function. Turning this on while the system is disarmed is a great way to stay alert when you are expecting company.

Police and Fire

You can use your touchpad to manually activate the emergency functions of VT police or fire. Simply push and hold the police or fire key for 2 seconds.

Bypass

If you want your Vermont home security system armed, but don't want protection of all the areas of the home, you can use the bypass function. This is great if you want the door armed but wish to have the windows open. Start by disarming your alarm system if it isn't already. Then, enter your system code, press the bypass key, and choose the zone numbers you want to bypass. After that, arm the system as you would normally.
